So, I am getting bored this winter. . . . I am a new member here on this forum but my friend told me that I need to start a build post for this. If anyone has any tips for me, they would be greatly appreciated.

I have a bone stock 99 ford ranger with IFS Torsion front suspension set up. . . . and I hate it. So after mulling things over in my mind for a couple days I decided that I need to tear it apart and get rid of all memories of IFS. My plan is to do a three link long arm to a dana 30 with a 3.73 gear set up, just cause it matches the back and I don't want to re gear to 4.10 yet.

I have purchased the axle of a Cherokee and am going to make all my own links. I have thoughts to do a custom high steer link set up to limit the angle on on the steering link. I'm using all ballistic johnny joints.
A mix of Ballistic brackets for the spring mounts and custom trans mount and link mounts.

Ill post more pictures as I work, I am taking it slow right now due to finance shortages.

What tire size are you aiming for?

Probably aiming for 33's right now.

D30 cause it's cheap. I figured that if in the future I want to upgrade to D44 or 8.8 I will be able to reuse pretty much everything. I am pretty tight on budget and pretty free on time. Also I have my work cut out for me just in cutting out all torsion suspension and designing my three link members and arms. Once all that is set up then changing out an axle is really not that hard.

ballistic filed ch11 and has pretty much screwed everyone i know who has ordered from them

good luck with them . . . . . . . .

Ohhhhh no that's no good. No I did not hear that so thank you for the heads up. I was going to order my joints from currie but ballistic had some cool mounts I wanted to use. But oh well. That is why god gave me a plasma cutter and a welder!
