what if you just trim a little?
Hmmm If I remove the plastic inner liners in the rear that should give me a little more clearance along with trimming the fender flairs a bit. Should I be worried about stuffing the tires into the body on the trail?

You can always add bumpstops.

A spring spacer lift would be cheaper than a body life, should net about an inch. Then use bump stops as tim mentioned to limit up travel.
You can use hockey pucks to build up the bumo stops on the axle

Well I decided to get a 1.25" Rough Country Body lift. A set of Wheel Spacers and a Motor Mount Lift.

I just finished loosening all of the body mounts and may try to work on the lift on my own tommorow. I'm not too sure about a couple things, adjustments in the transfer case and or transmission, or the radiator mounts, but it should go pretty well since I didn't break any body bolts. I sprayed them with WD 40 2x per day for the past 3 days, tightend them a bit with the air gun then they came right out. The only 2 thay were a bit of a pain were the ones behind the gas tank as they had a bit of rust on them and I had to clean them off with a 18mm socket before I could fit the 16mm on them.

I installed the 1.25 inch body lift and did some rust treatment along the frame while everything was open.
The Good:
I just came in from the test ride and its not too bad, the vibration I had after the suspension lift did not get worse possibly it got a little better.
The Bad:
I still have to figure out how to mount the overflow bottle for the radiator since I dont want to install the new radiator supports until after the motor mount lift is installed.
The Ugly:
The center body mount. opposite the transmission on the right side is severly rotten and that section of the body andbuilt in body mount bolt needs to be cut out and replaced.
The Left side isn't rotted however the nut is stripped and the bolt won't tighten all the way down.
I also think I figured out how I was going to connect the inline circut breaker to the battery to power up the Winch.
Also it has about 1/2 inch of clearence to get out of the gararge.

I'll get some pics tomorow.

I have done alot since the last posting...
Last weekend I found a bad axel u joint and replaced it.
...connected the winch to the battery.
... removed the front driveshaft and had a spare shortened and balanced, this removed 85% of the remaining vibration I had.
Installed a new pair of lifted motor mount 's. and a deeper transmission pan.
Last night i tried to re attach the skid plate but it no longer lined up with the frame holes.
Today In hope to finish the adjusting on the motor mounts so the transmission and skid plate lines up.
Finally I had the AC purged last week and will remove the lines today and hope to figure out if I should get a new belt or the pulley to use the existing belt.

Sean and I just went for a little ride and everything went very well. All strange noises and vibrations, except the owners, are gone and the handling is great. The only three things of note are... it take a little more time to get going but she still will go, and it definitely is very noticeable difference in stopping distance and finally i lost about 10% of my turning radius. Over all I am pleased with the results and am looking foreward to next weekend.
