That cage brings a tear to my eye. Really really sharp look and well designed. All and all could you throw a price tag on that? Really dig it. Good luck on getting it in and done for the 8th. Hope to see it there!!
i have a full cage i would sell you (i mean a real cage, DOM) but i know you don't have any money.

oh stop, i was making fun of that thing bigdaddeeeeeee built. sorry to confuse
yours is nice, althought i would have brought the frt spreader (the "V" bars over dash) bars into one load point instead of spreading them out like you did. it is stronger but hey i am sure it will be fine. its not like you are competing with your jeep

That was the idea, but those bars were literally made with the last 2 1/2 ft stick of tube. This is all the DOM that I bought back when Justin and I drove out to no where to Carl's place to pick it up.
I will be ordering another 20 feet for the rear eventually, I am not putting too much effort into it at this point though, I am going to have to build the air shock mounts and instead of putting a bunch of stupid tube back there now, and cut it off later, I would rather just wait and do it then. at that point I also want to tie the dash bar into the seat mounts, and the seat mounts into the rear. Then I will tie the two nodes into the air shock mounts at that time, as for now... they will just remain nodes
And Yes, I don't compete, don't plan on it either, i am poor enough as it is.

Well Cage is in, Huge thanks to Dave ands Jason for swinging by. Me and the wife were just about to head out to the farmers market then I see a 2500 chevy with huge ass stacks coming up the street. Look at the wife and she looked at me, no words she knew what was going to happen. So, we got the cage in, went in way easier than it came out. Seats are in, drivers harness is in, pass side is in, but Summitt shoerted me two harness mounts, so I just wrapped the shoulder harenesses around the tube till they come in. Re-mounted the ammo can center console and.......
I got a problem, not huge, but.. I replaced my red top with a yellow top a little over a year and a half ago, I had a trickle charge on the battery all winter, had not issue with the two trail rides I went to in march and april, so I jumped it off my pickup, drove it around the newighborhood a couple times, let it run in the driveway for 15 min and turn it off, I got nothing. So I am going to charge the battery for about an hour and see if it takes and holds a charge, if not, guess I wasted a $160 battery.
we'll see, gonna make it next week so I am happy, I will try to get some pics in a little bit. I got the jeep back in the gay-rage so thats the important part.

awesome work. Glad to hear shes together again and gonna make it to the BBQ. Wouldn't be the same without your jeep in the photo thread afterwords.
Not to be a weenie just asking, are you certain your wiring from the alternator and isn't an issue and that it's definitely the battery. Could it be a bad wire in the lead from the alternator?
Just putting it out there for giggles. Only takes a tester or touch of the tongue to find out!!

Yes, I tested everything. not a newbie
Deep cycle batteries are a little different than normal batteries, they need more to charge I guess.
It's definatly the battery... But my charger is also suspect, it's about 20 + years old and after 45 minute charge, I checked the battery terminals, nothing. So... I bit the bullet and bought a new charger, second I put it on, all the lights got bright, so maybe this will solve the issue and charge the battery.

I know your not a newbie but maybe some newbie reading this thread looking for an answer to his problem hoping to find a solution(you know doing his research first before posting questions, unlike yours truly) and hopefully this will strike a cord with his noggin and sole his issue.

well it is never done... I was going to order rad flows from baystate, but Bob was nice enough to talk me into the 2.5 instead of the 2.0, so I needed to put away a little more cash. Then I had to drop $450 on new trailer tires, $150 for the car tire to get me home and I had already ordered a bunch of parts that are/were in the mail, plus a couple vacations for the family so the budget too a bit of a hit. also not touching it till after the fall crawl. But I do have a bunch of parts and fab work waiting for it once fall crawl is over. Plus just been collecting parts.
Probably saw this one
Other than that just sitting in the garage
