ya, but right now, I have to address a over heating issue in the plymouth, so I might just trailer that up if the jeep is not "mobile"

I tried to fit a taurus fan on the back side of the radiator but I only have about 1.5" of clearence between the radiator and the crank pulley.  I am thinking
1. of building a new pusher shroud with a larger fan
2. moving the entire core support forward about 3" and try to squeeze the taurus fan in there. I guess it is the problem when you mix and match parts.. 41 plymouth, 57 chevy radiator, 68 pontiac BB, 64 newport wagon rad support  Roll Eyes

Really not much of an update, but starting to get to work on the jeep for this year.  I honestly planned on running what I had for this season, most of the modifications will be in preparation for the axles and stuff.

so since I really had nothing better to do

I forgot to tell you, but when I was there on Friday it looked good.  It almost looked like you knew what you were doing.  I'm sure you hired someone to do it for you.

Update, steel is here.. actually at Ians, but none the less, Got it.
It might be a tough week, but I am going to try to get some work done on it. After the lowell car show, I will start the process of boat siding. Talked yesterday to a family friend who owns a plastic company and he is on board for lineing the boat sides and the skid plate with HDPP.

John,

I had clearance issues when I was looking to put a Taurs fan in the CJ.  I only had about 3" from water pump bolts to radiator.  I decided to go with a pair of elec fans.  The one thing sticking out (water pump) was directly in the center where the fan motor would go on a single fan unit.  With a pair of slim twins the motors are on each side and I have tons of room.

I got the fans really cheap and the only real money ($99) was spent on a decent controller that brings them on slow to ease the voltage draw, adjustable temp range, water crossing/ac manual override, and they stay on after the engine shuts off automatically.

Here are a few pics.  So far they have been great but the real test will be this summer on the trail. Let me know if you have an questions.

do you have part number(s)  the biggest problem is that the radiator is probably not wide enough for two side by side... honestly it's the March Pully system, it moved everything about 2" forward the motor to be a serp system and still keep the stock-ish mounting locations. I will try to snap some photo's soon.

you might be able to get away with a pair of "8 fans depending on what you need for CFM or you might be able to go with a single 16" or so as a pusher without a ton of mods since they are so thin.
