In honor of having a truck bed full of parts, i start this thread.
2009 was going to be the year i only wheeled and didn't spend any money on my jeep, so i bring you another 1 ton TJ build...
i'll gladly listen to any all advice from people who know what they are talking about and any suggestions or questioning me is strongly advised.

This build may start this winter after fall crawl or it may start as soon as I sell my axles.
this is all working with my 2000 TJ 2.5l.  Currently has a 30/8.8 with 4.88's and ARBs.

Plans:
Dana 60 front and rear 14b
5.86 or numerically higher gearing (I’m planning on gearing the ever living Censored out of it) 4.56
Tires TBA 37" BFG Red Label Krawlers 42" IROK comp stickies
lockers - lincoln or detroit or ? detroit rear and lincold front
Plan on running stock shafts and not going up to 35spline. 35 spline upgrade with drive flanges
6 inch stretch (93.4 + 4”rear + 2” front= 99.4” so call it 100” 10" to 104"ish 110"
Comp cut rear? yes
Steering – hydro assist. Maybe do a redneck ram for something full hydro
3 link front/triangulated 4-link rear
Custon long arms and custon transfer skid
DD machine 231/300 doubler atlas 2 speed 5:1
Custom wooded shifter knob.
DIY  16.5 beadlocks h2 kmc enduro beadlocks
Fuel cell and all that jazz.

Do 7.17s in the axles.   Cool

With your transmission, a 231/300 doubler an 7.17s, you will have a 200:1 gear ratio.  That thing will be SLLLOOWWW Grin

i like all of the 1 ton tj builds happening now - it means people like me who don't have the time/know-how to build a bigger axle can hopefully pick up some used, already built axles to replace their 30/35's.

The more I research, the more I learn that I have a lot to learn.

that sounds like the beginning to way too many vehicle projects.  Grin

The custom wooden Shifter knob is going to make the cake.  We can pick out a wood from Australia.  That will increase it's capabilities because Australia's know how to wheel.
