anyone know anything about these??
i may be getting one in trade...never owned a quad,
but the price is right...

anything in particular to look for?
any clue what it's worth...
do i need a title like a car,
do i have to register in MA?

the kids gonna bring it to my shop in a few days and wnated to see
if anyone had any tips or suggestions...thanks

Back in the day it was a great quad, 4 stroke, easy maintenance. Technology has gone crazy with some of the new stuff, but for a fun all around quad it's a good one. Check the rear axle for bad bearings, if they get too bad it's a bit pricey to fix cause it can wipe out the swingarm. Everything else is similar to a bike.

yes pay attention to rear axle area, around the hubs, cracked bent etc. check sprocket and chain for wear. they usually never get changed unless someone really cares. shock rebound.

he said it needs rear brakes, but i don't think i would have known
to check for the cracks / wear ...

check the swing arm bushings/bearings, sometimes when they go they ruin the swing arm.

you do have to register them i think it's like 40 bucks for 2 years if you want to ride on open trails. you need the bill of sale with price paid for the sales tax and the quads serial number.
