Sweet rig!  I wonder how those portal boxes held up to running hard at teh hammers?
Honestly, keep in mind the market wil bear the actual evaluation... Based on what it has for parts, price is not all that bad.  I wouldn't buy it only because I do not have 48G's hanging around.  Randy Slawson had his 2013 KOH buggy up in priate for over 100G's.  I do nto know if it sold or for what amount so in the end it could have gone for way less.

That rig has to have about $40K worth of axles in it including the steering..... I don't think that price is bad either.

Unless you were going to race it at RC/Line Mountian and other races a rig of that caliber around here wouldn't even be fun IMO.  Not to many places would be a challange in that thing.

On a side note..... The ground clearance under those axles on 39" tires is crazy!!!!

Just a guess but if the portal axles are apart being rebuilt cryo-frozen I might have had some issues

This rig is sure making the rounds on the interwebs........

Saw an ad for the rig on Ebay last week. The highest bid was $18.5 before the add was pulled.  ::)   Now he is selling the axles on Pirate.  F&R axles complete less steering rams and 1 set of portal box gears (broke at KOH and waiting for Torque Axle to build more. ;) )  $5500 obo

I can't find any current info on the Portaltek boxes, even on the Torque website....... Wonder if a new set of gears is even obtainable from them???
