Recomend me some games

My wife got me ps3 for christmas, I am by no means a gamer. Recomend me some must have games.
I'm gonna get grand turismo, I had the first one on play station, so if nothing has changed, i'll still like that.
I am not really into modern warfare games, too much dedication. Also not really into the online thing, but willing to try.

your best bet might be to rent a few different games and go from there. I always hated the 1st person shooter games like CoD and SoCom on early ps models. Now I just like running around online playing Modern Warfare 3. Helps me work out the demons within when I can't go work on my jeep. It's great if you like talking trash too I guess, I'm not a big fan so I just mute all the other players so I don't have to listen. Every now and then the wifey and I will go back and forth playing Pacman to see who can get the high score. Oh be sure to go HDMI if you have a spare port on your TV. Yes it really does make a difference.
