that is a new superwinch made to compete in the cheap winch world. it is fine, but if you can spend more, epi9 is an awesome, fast, strong winch. they are also a little cheaper now because of the Talon taking over the top of the line.

Superwinch makes a good product,  I personally would spend the extra cash on an EP or EPI9.  I have 3 superwinches, and have had good luck with them.  Looks like they are ~550 shipped.  The line-speed is more than twice that of the LP series.

That said the LP is perfectly good winch if that's your budget.

if you get a superwinch and it doesnt freespool really good from day one package it back up and exchange it or whatever. I dealt with mine not freespooling for too long and was happy as a clam the day i got rid of it because of that reason alone....BUT it was an awesome winch(epi 9.5 ) as far is being fast strong and always working when i push the button.

I have a warn 9.5ti and it sucks, i've had to dump another $300 over purchase price because its a POS. The lifetime warn warranty is a joke. I have had better service from the $50 used smittybuilt winch than the warn ever gave

i agree with everyone here that a superwinch is a good winch and "bang for the buck"  i had one for years and years and it worked well. i think someone on here has it now  Grin   i know he had to do some repairs but its was 12+ years old at that point

i would buy another one in a heart beat, in fact i am looking at buying 1 currently for my commnado
