Public space.. obviously used for offroading and mudding.. not posted no trespassing...

im just wondering if going by posted versus non-posted areas is ok.. my uncle is a policeman and he said he wouldnt worry about it.. but figured someone who actually offroads might have a better grasp on the situation..

so yeah.. as long as its public and not posted it should be fine.. right?

If you are talking about mass, just because it is not posted doesn't make it legal. You need written permission from the land owner. Sorry.

i would have some serious issues with your uncle if i were you. he has no understanding of the law.  probabally not the nicest thing to say but if he is saying it is "legal" to tresspass than he is not so well informed.  sorry to be a dink

im going to have to agree with jeepgod on this one....when in doubt, it is most likely illegal to wheel there and bob correct me if i am wrong, but there is little to no legal public wheeling places in RI currently?

i tend to have a problem with all authority figures so no offense taken.. hes the deputy chief of police in the town in which this place is.. he said it is public land, and that they treat it like a park.. in other words dont be there after dark .. if there were no trespassing signs it would be different, but since there are none posted there is nothing for them to enforce  *shrugs*

from wikipedia

# A 'jerk' or 'goof'
# A euphemism for d!ck.
# D.I.N.K: Dual Income No Kids, a financial term used for couples with no kids.

Personally, i think todd was referring to that last one  Grin
