like a dope I forgot my camera for most of the day....oh well...

laughed so hard at this


and my dumb self ran over a log( that I would have cleared with the lift/tires......I am too much of a slackers)



and I never realized how rusty that gas tank was..heh.

yeah, it went from funny, to omfg i'm going to kill something....the damn nuts to loosen to get the straps off are frozen on both jeeps, sliced my thumb open, got gasoline all over, and smashed my phone, turned out to be a bitchin day today.

little tip, if you puncture a gas tank, take a bar of soap and rub the soap over the hole. the gas won't break the soap down very quickly, should slow a leak enough to get you home with out loosing too much gas.

it actually crushed the tank to where it split in the corners, on the bends due to the rust.

i just replaced the tank on my 94, was a lot easier than i was expecting.  just bought the tank at auto zone, prime/painted it, and swapped it in there.  didnt take very long and i cut that stupid plastic shield down to just two strips where the straps are so that mud/crap doesnt get stuck between the plastic and the metal tank and rust it out again.  i think it was about 130 bucks
