jeep is about half way done.
rear only needs to have shock mounts welded on (still waiting for them from BTF) and I need to weld the Spring perches, they are tacked up but not fully burned in, and ned to re-route the axle breather.

Front is ready to go in, probably work on it this week, depends on weather.

out with the old

Due to pending Snow on sunday, I through these on to get it off the jack stands just in case I had to move it to snow blow.. guess the joke was on me

Bling Bling Mo-fugger.

Raked out..

I put the 33's back on since it is what I had. plus I will need to do a little driving to dial everything in, rather drive around with a crappy allignment breaking in gears with opld tires than the new ones, but there apears to be plenty of room for the new tires.  Once the Q's go on, I will need to fab up some bump stops, I got some cheap energy suspension ones from auto zone.  Also I need to finish my t-case cross member and put in the 1" MML. I am gonna keep beating the piss out of the stock skid till I can get the tim eto cut the new skid.

Also, the CJ front clip is almost ready for paint, I will snap a couple pics of it, but I had to weld up some un-wanted holes in the grille and some rust removal on the hood.

Hell ya!  I need to start working on my d44's now.  I haven't even figured out what parts I need to get yet.  Lot of research ahead.

Just measured, with the new springs, I gained 1.75 inches at the rear cross member.

My old springs were so beat. I actually went with smaller mudshovels... shackles (1/4 " smaller so 1/8" less lift) and new to me springs I bought off chris like 3 years ago. I also had to put in a 1" body lift (last summer) to fit the 1"MML to lift the tranny higher to go to a completely flat skid. I have been measuring and using jacks and hi-lifts I might be able to fit 37's with a little more trimming, I initially was planning on moving the rear axle back 3 inches, I simply didn't but all the perches have been drilled. eventually I will take the front fenders off completely and comp cut the rear, stay Srping under to reduce axle wrap and put on the 37-38ish size, but I want a different rear axle and upgraded shafts in the front before I go to that size tire.

Dan Gears are 4.88 yukons and detriots front and rear.

Nope not yet. wanna get the front in and everything mocked up so that I can extend it as far foward and as farback as I can so I will need to clearence for drive shafts.

Home made.

I made the bracket, since I had to do a lot of research for the brakes on my hot rod, I knew that eldorado rear calipers were pretty good to begin with. rotors are from a 99 c1500 chevy, had the Hat machined down to slide over the axle.  My first calliper brackets I welded on, but they just didn't fit right so I made these ones that simple bolt to the axle flange. In retrospec, I made these bolt to the back of the flange and I made a spacer to make up for the lack of a backing plate, next time I will instead simply machine them down and have them replace the bacling plate and either gusset it by welding or bolt on.

Fronts in.

everything is pretty much tightened up, still need to set the allignment and adjust the tierod and tighten up the set nuts. I ran into an issue with one of the tie rod ends, for some reason the thread OK then it will start to cross thread. other than that, front was easier than the rear.

Also, I was looking at the old rear Drive Shaft out of my blazer, the U-joints are all the same and the shaft it-self is a lot beefier so I might use this instead, still need to check it for clearence.  I ended up having Baby duty around 3:00 so work came to a halt. will continue tomorrow.
