those are Hush Hush..

JK

I spent a lot of the weekend either ordering new parts, or getting rid of old part. I am at a stand still, I am waiting for the rear drive shaft, but I need to finish some other things before I geta definitive measurment for my D.S.

New tires hould be on in the next day or two.

Sitting on ugly rollers right now.

Wooh Hooh, still working on it, steering box is moved, was able to keep using the stock YJ pitman arm which is great, one less pitman arm to re-taper.
final measurment is the steernig gear was moved app 1/4" inward (to clear the shackle) and moved foward app 1"

I also picked up my new master cylinder and res. not too bad, got it for $37, AC delco, life time warranty, no core charge.. out of a 89 E350. I got it from a friends brake shop so I had to wait a couple days. I will need to do some drilling and grinding to get it to fit properly and will have to fine tune the rod. I plan to finially have this POS safe to be drivable by this weekend (been drivable for a month or so, just not safe)

Also on another note.. I discovered a whole new feeling.. I thought brake fluid in the arm pit was bad, today, I gashed my finger, got brake fluid in it.. DATS NICE.

Update..

I will get pics up in a couple.

Made the new motor mounts as well as the new frame mounts for the transmision cross member. I ended up ordering MORE 1" lift motor mounts, when I got them, I laughed at how simple they were, so I copied them and made my own, then returned them, then I simply ordered 4 sets of sleeves with bushings (2 for the motor mounts, and two for the tranny cross member.)

I ordered a new clutch and throw out beating, I expect those in the next couple days.

also the master cylinder that I initially received was the right box, wrong part, so I had to return it and get the right part, the box listed it as a 89 E350 master, but it was from a 94 E350... so that was a Censored to deal with.. Like I mentioned I will get some pics up in a couple..

New Master... the stock master's bore is designed for 1/4 ton calipers on the front and drum rear, I have 3/4 ton calipers on the front and 1/2 ton on the rear and there is simply not enough Volume to actuate all four pistions 60% let a alone 100%.. the stock MC bore is 1.0 I believe and the E350 is 1.45... I got the info off of pirate, so I take no credit for figuring this one out..

This is some shots of the bracket I used to move the steering box, I contemplated copying it and returning it, but I am getting low on ¼” plate at work and the bracket was less than $90 shipped. I could not go wrong.

Like I said, the sleeves and bushings I purchased from MORE offroad, I also bought a set of the 1” MML but I simply copied them, bought another set of sleeves and bushings and returned the original ones. I will snap some Photos of them when I get home.

I found this one in my cell phone too, this was a picture take the night before I was supposed to leave for Pa to wheel, this was just prior to welding the old yoke back on.

Well, I figured it was time to make the bump stops. I didn't realize, but the ones I had in there (I just dropped the stock ones a couple inches) were hitting dangerously close to some brake components, so I first though about simply cutting the stock bump stops down. instead this is basically what I came up with.

They will bolt into the factory threaded holes on the frame which will make my life just that much easier. the only two issues I came across is that I should have made the spine of the rear gussetts a lot longer extending the length of the tube.  Also, I am a little lost on the gussett for the front of the bump stop. I moved the axle foward about an inch so I also have to move the bump stop foward, which limits the amount of space I have for the gussett, another option would be to lengthen the base and simply drill and tap a new hole or..

some how gussett it this way. then I will weld two small pieces at the top and the bottom for extra support and leave enough open to get the bolt in there.  Unfortunatly I only have about 14"'s of 2" 3/16 left so the lengthening and drill tap will have to wait till the week of the 30 for my next steel shippment to come in.
