Ran down to PA to pick up some new skins. Grabbed a couple spares for Miguel and I too.

congrats on the new meats.  does your jeep see any street time other than running to the trail head from the parking area?  If so, how much and how do these, and other sticky compound tires, fair in that regard.

a soft tire with an aggressive tread will wear fast.

I still have my little 35" procomps for the street if I want to bomb around. It really doesn't see much street time. For the money they cost I WON'T be wasting them on the tar. No talking like that now John!!!!!

I get that....I was hoping for a more quantative answer if one exists
such as.....a sticky 40" tire that sees street miles will wear at this rate
where as...a non-sticky 40" tires that sees the same miles will wear at this rate

sorry to clog up the thread...congrats again on your purchase

I'm not a BFG expert, but I would guess that the tires Mark just bought would be useless in under 500 street miles.  Maybe less.

A normal 40" tire with aggressive tread might last 10k-20k miles?

These are just guesses....

probably depends on speed driven, and accesories... like winch cage, armor as these can add a lot of weight.

I'm really not sure about the wear rate on these and due to the rediculous price of them I wont be finding out. They are also clearly marked not for highway use and they are not dot approved.

that is the type of response I was looking for....dang you must leave a sticky rubber trail wherever you go on the street at that rate.
