So I have been dealing with this horrible shutter during take off and slowing down, and a bad howling at certain speeds. I found out it was my carrier bearing for the rear driveshaft as well as some overdue u joints(ungreasable) wtf.
So i called up my good friends over at the dealer who tell me that these things are a re-uccuring problem in these trucks and are nothing but a pain so they upgraded to one peices in all the newer 07 and up longbeds, and mega cabs.
SOOO i decided insead of wrestling with a giant two peice shaft I would upgrade to the newer one peice. 20 minute removal install without breaking a sweat vs a couple hours of melting out factory u joints and pressing off a carrier housing in his 90% humidity no thanks.
So now I have the biggest shaft in the club  Grin

OH YEAH and since I was spending the time and effort....and money I decided to spend a half an hour and polish and buff my shaft before I installed it Shocked

also doozie , 1903 (adj.), 1916 (n.), perhaps an alteration of daisy , or from popular It. actress Eleonora Duse  (1859-1924). In either case, reinforced by Duesenberg , expensive, classy make of automobile 1920s-30s.

In case you were wondering Grin

5 bills right from mopar, its made by AAM its 6061 T6 aluminum. comes complete with slip yoke U joints and flange.
all i can say is its def the best upgrade I have done to this truck since I had it, Now instead of listening to howl, grind, and any other noises which its had since i got it. literally all you hear going down the highway is the tires.
