The school where I work has stick, MIG, and TIG welders so I figured I would take advantage.  Teaching myself to TIG as I had never done it before.  Slowly getting better.  These are from my third time TIG welding, just playing around with some scrap steel.

I  have a long way to go, but I can at least stick two pieces of metal together  Grin

Was this with filler or just puddling the field?

Either way looks good.

using 1/8" filler rod, i have to work on consistency, i usually start rough and then recover.  My goal is to get more consistent with the plate and then start practicing on tube.  I tried it once and was amazed at how difficult it was compared to welding flat pieces.

Best welding instructions i ever received went like this..
"Welding? man its easy, All you need is a little heat....a little weld....a little heat....a little weld."
and thats how you weld.
