Ok, carry over from my J10 thread....... Roll Eyes

About a year ago I started to get the itch for something different.  I wanted something FAST and fun that was already built.  I have my hands full with family, work, J10, etc and it makes sense to let someone else pay top dollar for everything.  I pretty much want to wash, drive, and enjoy.  I've always liked the LX 5.0s so I started looking.  Long story short I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for down South.

To give you a sense of the previous owner, he had the original window sticker, sales brochure, and a few hundred digital images of all the work/upgrades he did.  He took the car from completely stock to the present state.

Quick Details:

Fresh built 306.  Forged internals, AFR Alum Heads, Trick Flow Cam, ARP Everthing, Blah..Blah..Blah

Install it with a few more goodies: Vortech Supercharger, GT40 Intake, Headers, MSD, Custom Alum Radiator, Elec Fans, Blah..Blah..Blah

Stock looking Southern LX that has all the right stuff under the covers: Ford Motorsport suspension, Full Bassani Exhaust, 03 Cobra Wheels, and a bunch of other nice stuff.

A nice surprise to find a completely stock interior that hasn't been cut up or filled with a 9" tach and extra gauges.  It has new carpet and very nice custom sound system which include door enclosures that he made (that is his business).

It has been sleeping in my garage for the past few months but with the nice weather rolling in I am finally getting a chance to driver her.
 Burn Out

I am installing a 6 point cage in my bro in laws 87 as we speak...well finishing it itomorrow.  Got my jeep axl to through in.  Finally pressed my bearings on.  But I took his for a rip and it's got every ounce of torque he could get in it.  Scary as Censored to drive.  He is a membr of Blackout Racing.  You should check into it.  It's an all mustang club and most run that body style.  I wanna say he's got close to 550 hp in it

dude that car is THE BALLS!!!!!   I had a 93 notchback a while ago and regret ever selling it.  I vowed I would again have a notch and have been casually searching for one locally.  Bang for the buck a fox body 5.0 cant be touched, great choice, totally jealous, good luck with her, I want to drive it.  Ahhuh I want a 5.0 notch so bad.  I would love to know what you paid if your comfortable sharing.

Thanks for the kind words guys.  I did a ton of research and think I did pretty well for what I wanted.  There is nothing like buying a car from a better climate.  When it arrived I just started laughing when I looked underneath it because it was so clean.  The PO said that it was rained on twice in the last 10 year and one of those was being towed to an all Fords show.. Nuts

wow, looking nice!

whats the hp on this thing? Stock rear/gears?

The car has the Motorsport 3.73 gears and he rebuilt the limited slip when he was in there.  The engine only has about 1500 miles on it so the current tune is pretty conservative which I like.  It is  making 421 rwhp which is plenty for me at this point.  There are 275 Nittos on the rear which really help but I have found the limits of the traction already in multiple grears... Jason - No, it wasn't me but the sound of those early 5.0 is definitely one of the things that I love about them
