Nice....I grew up on sleds but it is a very expensive sport. I had a
1976 rupp rally 440
1978 artic cat pantera 500
1984 yamaha phazer 485
1989 artic cat wildcat 650
1998 polaris storm 800 ( ported,piped,jetted,picked & carbided)

The Polaris was stupid fast and I was clocked at 92mph on white lake in ossipee (sp?) nh even though the speedo was reading about 122mph. The local police had a bronco that they drove on to the ice and for 5 bucks they would get you on radar. When ever someone tells me that hey were doing 100mph I am always a little bit wary on the actually speed they were  going.
By far the funnest sled was the yamaha phazer the 485 was fan cooled and it was a very light quick trail sled but it would only top our about 70 mph

Now we drive up to milinocket(sp?) Maine and rent sleds it's much cheaper

Yeah Im not exactly sure how accurate the speedo's are these days. The sled is geared to do 126 from the factory but Ive had it to about 110 wide open across the lake. Being out on the sled for a whole day up north is an amazing amount of fun. But I do agree it is an expensive sport. I paid 5000 for this one with the enclosed trailer and only 1900 miles. I could prob turn and sell the package for 6000 right now off season.
