isnt engine oil designed to opperate in a specific temp range?  if you are to low in that range will you create problems?

well i was thinking of it more along the lines of using it in my bike which holds 1.2 qts of oil  has no cooler or colling fan.

Try it out and test the engine temperature with an infrared thermometer. Mine is pretty accurate. I bought it to do some powdercoating.
