tntcustoms, this & that customs horrible business practices

cliff notes:
ordered an in stock product, took 9 days to ship, was the wrong product, the owner said he would refund it, and 2+ weeks later hasn't been picked up or refunded, he now maybe dodging my calls. finally had to contact the CC company
Full story:
On April 10th 2007 I called T&T and spoke with the owner Bob Levenhagen about his unibody stiffeners for my Comanchee. He assured me they would work on the MJ after just trimming the end as the MJ is shorter then an XJ. I asked if they were in stock and when they could be shipped out. Bob said they were in stock and would go out that afternoon. So I ordered them and gave him all my info.
On April 19th 2007 (1 week and 2 days later) I called back there and asked where my stuff was. Bob again answered (as he seems to do each time I call) and said the order just came up for being shipped and would ship out the next day. This same day my credit card was charged.
I finally received the product on April 30th 2007.
On May 2nd 2007, I went to install them and they def do not fit a MJ. The MJ unibody is not straight like the XJ as it gets wider to meet up with the rear portion. Also after the tranny cross member the unibody is square unlike the XJ.
So on May 3rd 2007 I called T&T back and Bob again answered the phone. I explained the whole situation. Told him I wanted a refund, and he said he would set up a UPS pickup to have them sent back then credit my account. The next day I packaged them back up and left them for UPS.
On May 8th 2007 I called from my cell phone to ask why they were not picked up. No one answered so I left a message and it was never returned.
On May 10th 2007 I called from my cell phone to ask why they were not picked up. No one answered, and I felt like maybe he has my number in his caller ID and wont pick up. So 2 mins later I called from my work phone and he picked up. Said he put it in with UPS and didn't understand why it wasn't picked up. He was going to call UPS then call me back. Never called me back.
On May 17th 2007, I again called from my cell and he again did not pick up. So I again left him a message which was never returned.
As of today May 22nd 2007, the stuff is still on my porch and I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.
Those are my dealings with T&T Customs and Bob Levenhagen

This is so others don't have to read 5 pages of BS.....and I mean BS....it got out of control for a while over nothing??

Derrick (others)
First let me begin by saying you were told the XJ Chassis Stiffners would have to be modified to fit an MJ.
More importantly three call tags were issued to the address I have on file for you. I run my business not UPS. I do not know what the hang up up is with getting a call tag to you. I told you the last time(s) you called that a call tag was requested. There is obviously a disconnect with UPS. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but when I am told that a tag will be issued and that a driver will pick up the part I have to take them at their word. I move on with my day and get all the other things done I have to do in a (14+hr) day.
To answer your accusation of dodging your calls. What would be the point of that? Our phone system is past it's capacity, I apologize (to everyone) that it has and is difficult to get through right now, it's hard to get through to us on this system. Our new phone system and full time office manager will be on line next week. We now have 3 additional phone lines, and as I mentioned a full time person dedicated to just the phones/email/orders and in your case gripes/bitches/complaints.
Finally, instead of calling (again) and telling me you have not had the part picked up and your account credited you decide to take a personal attack on me and my business on an internet forum. Nice...
Your account is now credited with a full refund including shipping. At this point you are free do do with the parts as you please, I sugest donating them to a good cause like a local four wheel drive event door prize.
Thanks to those that defend us, we appreciate it. To those out there that are on the fence all I can offer is a promise to do the best we can do. We build exceptional quality parts that work and are thouroughly tested that we believe in and stand behind. Sometimes it takes longer than we like to get your parts out; however, we constantly strive to get parts out in a timely manner. We are growing and with that comes hurdles that have to be overcome. Some we can control and fix (like staff and phone system, putting on a second and weekend shift to increase our capacity, etc.), some we can't (like vendors we get parts from taking longer than expected for delivery). And finally to those that have taken this rant seriously and have decided to go else where - good luck to you. We'll see you on the trail still be the nice people we are, say hi, help if we can.

Also now that you have that part for free, you should donate it to the XJ build Axle is always talking about....wheels for disabled vets (something like that)....It would make a great donation to it.

Damnit Tooch, you beat me to it. Inbetween sucking on ice because of my burnt tounge from a hot pocket and pouring some root beer, I thought of this.......but you beat me to it.
