I don't have a NEJZ shirt yet, but look for the piece of crap red xj, and an angry wife. I'll probably wear my "funny" shirt tomorrow.

I'll look for the red xj. I think there will be an abundance of angry wives. Smiley They get so jealous of the jeeps and the jeeps get all the attention.

I saw the jeep with the sticker but it was always driving by. I never got to meet anyone though. I did get some pics to share.

Yeah, I'm still working on the site design.  The images will be larger in the next day or so.

keep in mind it was the first year at this place. If it sticks you can be sure next year will be better and the year after that ect. ect.

i agree, for the first year i thought it was pretty good with good potential. the only thing i would have added would be a rock garden and mow the grass where the tents were setup.

I think the grass thing is the land owners responsibility.  It may have also been left high to help with the fact the ground was so soggy from all the rain.  If it had been mowed we may have been walking in mud by the end of the day.

GTD has trails, The Jeep Rally has Rocks. Take your pick.  Doing both (as we have discussed within the Rally) is very hard, requires even more volunteers to work even harder to set-up and man.  Just sayin...

Besides, has anyone seen pics from the other GTD gatherings from around the country?  I'd have to say we've got one of the best.  Wink

ya i could see it possibly getting muddy but as long as you keep the jeep traffic off it, it should hold up. and a small rock garden like at previous rally's would be more than enough. giving something for the people walking the grounds to watch and keep interested but i hear ya on the extra prep and man power to keep something like that running smoothly.

it truly was a great event and expect next year to be bigger and better. good work to you and the rest of the volunteers
