I know I know, i'm just lazy and dont want to do hard work.   Re-loading into a housing is very easy.

Looking at other options like fabricated 9" or  D44 with a 8.9" ringgear and 35 spline shafts etc.

Cheap and easy, tons. DONE!

I don't know if we should bother with this meeting

Perhaps it should be considered to alternate between Saturday mornings and week night meetings.  Strictly as a personal reference, my weekends, especially mornings and afternoons for the next month is pretty much occupied with "kids" stuff between sports, birthdays and other events.  I, and only speaking personally, find planning around a weeknight event easier.

Thanks.  Looking at the pictures in your link, it appears it uses a different battery than all the 18 volt ryobi stuff I already have.  Regardless, thanks for the advice.

I have had the below trimmer for 2-3 years now and couldn't be happier.  I use it for about 10-15 minutes every other week and i only have to charge the battery every 2-3 months.  It even held a full charge over the winter and when i pulled it out of storage this year, it worked like it had been used every day.

the one thing you will notice is that it does have  a little less power than a gas trimmer and they are slightly heavier (even with a full tank of gas in a traditional one), but this one balances really well on my arm becuase the battery rests directly under my forearm.  I highly recommend it for yards your/my size.  you absolutely won't regret it.

Also note that i recommend disconnecting the battery from teh trimmer and leaving it free when not in use.  Also, only charge it when you are at 1 bar or less and you'll get amazing life out of it.
