The rubber mallet didn't work, had to go with a small pry bar and carefully force the cover off without nicking the cover's machine surface ....the bolt was bonded that well to the cover.
I moved the cover away from the block enough to cut the bolt between the cover and block.

Before I made the cut I noticed when I moved the cover the bolt was moving as well so I knew the block side of the bolt would come out easy. Locking pliers did the job.

The bolt is still bonded to the cover so I'll soak it a couple days and give it a go.

The original cam sprocket in a 225 is made of nylon when I removed the cover I was surprised to see it had already been swap out for a metal one. Chain and sprockets look in good shape. I can now return the one I purchased.

Thanks Mitch.  No, that was my old/first jeep had neon green and pink "splash" stickers on the side.

I might try to move the top mount inboard with these

The 14b swap is turning out to be a bit more work than I planned on...

I think Tim could actually use these tires, then you could purchase some narrower ones =)

if they are just kissing the air shocks (will only remove the finish on the shocks) leave it.  i had the same problem and i moved the mount tabs and shifted them so i don't rub anymore.  this is better than spacers because it won't make you any wider than you are.  i imagine you will be at low single digit air pressure on the trial so you will be even wider then.
