No, and it isn't a bad thing to remove it if that is what you want to do. I had a light film of carbon so I cleaned with sea foam and a fairly new tooth brush. I used a newer brush because I was more concerned about losing a bristle then anything else. Most if not all will exit the exhaust port.

Removed the TB cleaned it up, still looks like crap, cleaned the IAC and she fires right up!  Thanks guys, as always you saved the day.

Took it for a test drive down one of our rough and tumble side roads in Worcester , put it in 4wd everything is fine, put it back in 2wd and ive got what sounds like 2 fiesty squirrels going at it under there now.  Might be time to rebuild/replace the front drive shaft.

Fix 1 thing break another, haha.  But it's my jeep so i dont care👍. If it was the dodge i would be pissed😈

After some fussing around with the 4wd shifter a pipe and the linkage, it appears the front drive shaft wasn't fully disengaging.  I got rid of the noise by forcing the linkage to go just a little farther.  I guess theres a TSB out about replacing some of the linkage parts.

It's been sitting a long time, I would recommend greasing all fittings, linkage, an moving parts. Check lug nut torque as well.

i know i will plan on doing this and my rig has all new parts but has set for 7 months. every nuts and bolt and fitting before and after my next run.

there is a high probability that other parts will fail once you start using this rig a little more.

buy a new shifter bushing kit from crown. it makes a world of a difference in your ability to shift in and out of 4wd.

Yeah i am expecting more problems in the near future.  I plan on replacing all the ball joints and tie rod ends. All my control arm bushings are greasable, so those should be fine.  I need to check again but I think my trackbars can be greased.  Rear sway bar is history so thats no problem, ive got jks discos in the front, i know those have grease fittings.  I'm wondering what kind of shape my wheel bearings are in.  Only other thing ive noticed right now is a slight vibration when in reverse, but its tolerable.
