Ok update.... problen solved and I cannot possibly image how I missed it.  I went through everything and I mean everything in the wheels, balljoints, tie rods, springs, perches, bushings, intermediate shaft etc etc.

Guess what's wrong..

Here's a picture that says it all
 Shocked

Yup that's my top brace for my steering box that is completely rotted off in the middle and broke in two.
I was soooo busy looking at everything lying down under the jeep that I didn't see the slight up and down motion it was making.  I was looking at the rod ends etc but it was moving just slightly with weight on the tires.  I had been under the jeep for like 20 minutes just prior with the jeep jacked up and front tires off the ground to check everything as it hung but it didn't budge then.  I never even noticed there was a top to the brace?

Nothing else is rotted....not even barely rusted just that bracket!!

Ok any one got one kicking around?

When it comes to inspecting the steering linkage and joints feel is better then sight. I always put my hand on the part in question and have someone turn the wheel. If the part has any looseness you will feel it before you see it.

Maybe it’s just me but it appears from the pic there is a crack in the frame as well.

I have a steering bracket but I need it for a future project. They can be found at most any bone yard or maybe others may have one.

Oh, take another look at the pic, something else is wrong and I’m betting it was the cause of the break or at least contribute to it.

I have actually already yanked the steering box out and the frame is perfectly fine.  No cracks or signs of thinning at all. Not sure where in the pics it looks cracked but I will post a few more up that I took from different angles to be certain I haven't overlooked anything.
As far as the front brakes goes they lock up just fine it is only the rear I have any issues with but continue to point out my dilema as you see because I can't seem to see anything at least in that pick.

Good to hear the frame isn’t cracked.

I believe what contributed to the steering bracket failure was the pitman arm and draglink being installed incorrectly. The pitman arm was installed upside down and because of the pitman arm’s tapered hole the draglink end was installed on the top of the pitman arm (castle nut facing down) instead of where it should be at the bottom (castle nut facing up).
