I have a 95 jeep with frame rot. I would like to fix it but i don't know how much it would cost to fix. The rust is in the right rear Where the leafspring mounts on the frame. Should i bother fixing it or will it cost me more then the car is worth?

You should have the jeep totally inspected to get an idea of it's overall condition before you get the frame fixed.  We do complete vehicle inspections (not state) and frame repair at Elias 4wd.

Notajeepguy, your jeep isn't worth fixing, strip all the parts off it tomorrow before the heavy rain starts and I'll swing by and get rig of them for you.

I was wondering if i should bother getting the section from a junk yard and welding it, or just welding some plates on it? I Just want it to hold for another year this is not my daily driver. I just drive it on trails once in a while. Just wondering about the range these things run to fix?

If you have the extra time it would help thanks!

Just joking with you notajeepguy.

You would need to give more details then your first posts has for others to help or have Elias 4wd take a look at it for you.

Any frame can be fixed plating it would do in most cases. Do you have any pics?

They sell replacement frame pieces to replace that part of the frame. I'll search for a link.

EDIT: this is the first one that popped up in my google search

Support your local vendors!!!

the company that makes those and sells them to Quadratec is in RI.  www.AutoRust.com

We offer a few pieces if you're in need, but not as many as they do. We sell the transmission support skid plate, rear upper shock mounts, spring & shackle mounts for the YJ frame, and soon the rear cross member.    Their rails are a pretty decent deal. My buddy bought them from there and had South Shore Automotive in Plymouth, MA do the install.   If I needed that done, I'd go there or to Elias4wd.
