Well, my 93 YJ I6 will not start.  There is a spark but there is no fuel at the rail.

I though it was my fuel pump.  Drop the tank and the fuel pump is good (I tested it on the battery and it still pumped)  I have check the fuse and rely and they seem to be good.  Even tried a new rely and still nothing.

Any ideas? Does this have anything to do with the auto shutoff?  The fuse is good for that.  But is there a rely for the auto shutoff?

Did you pinch a wire or gas line?

Check the little vaccume lines coming off of the back of the transfer case, which control the vac-disco.  I think its a red one?  Any ways, I pulled it, and tore my truck apart trying to find the problem...when it was the vaccume line which I had un plugged.

Have you checked the fuel filter?

It is not the vacuum line.  The fuel pump is not getting any power.  The wires going to the pump are good, I tested them with a meter.  Fuel filter was replace about 2 months ago.

Now I have a 94 XJ computer running my 93YJ.  Is this something that is OK or should I find a computer for my model and year?  Or should I get a preformance one and if so does anyone have one and did it make a differance?

i dont think much changed between 93 and 94.  As long as its for a manual 4.0...i wouldn't worry.

I dont know about YJs, but with XJs...if its an auto, the ECU is tied in to the transmission and the shifting...thats the only problem I can see.

Rich, that XJ was an auto it came out of, that might make a difference.
I know the guy who took the tranny, also took some grafribulator valve from under the dash to go along with the tranny to make it work properly. maybe that is what the computer is not reading??

Something is up.  It will not start.  Infact the samething happened.  The last time it happened I made a mistake and tried starting it in gear before I stepped on the cluch.  I just did it again and it will not start.  And again there is no fuel at the rail.

What is up.  I can't figure this one out.
