I've had my johnnys since 2009 and still cant get grease in them.  What grease does go in squirts back out the zerk.  One of the joints was really stiff, and I think its a lack of grease.  Of all 4 of my joints,.none will take grease.  Advise? Is this normal?

Yep replace the Zerks, but one thing peaple forget to do when the they replace them ( on anything ) is poke out the old grease in the hole till you see clean metal. If the old grease got hot if truns into a wax/hard grease and make's it hard to pump threw the body.

Or take the old Zerks out and just try pumping grease threw them, if they pump threw fine then clean the hole's out and see if they take. If they dont somthing is blocking the grease, so you might need to take the bodys apart and check.

So the last couple of years you were running them on what the factory pumped in there and never greased them yourself?
If yes then I would take them apart and double check them for ware, once the dammage is done then no amount of grease will fix them, or just sell them to me Grin

Ok, I will check the zerks and clean the joints.

Yes, these JJs have the same grease that came in them from the factory.  They are still really tight too.  I have NEVER been able to get grease into any of them.  Even from day 1.  I assumed that they needed to be broken in.  I have always tried to grease them, but nothing ever went in....it always squirted back out of the hole.

Changed zerk to a better fitting one.  Even on my loosest joint, the grease backs up, presses the bushings out around the center ball, and jams the joint.  When I remove the gun, grease rockets out of the grease hole.  Stupid things....they're all like this.

I took all 4 joints apart (thank you HF press!) And they were all dry.  I lubed them up and reassembled them.  No grease ever got in there.  And I tried....don't think I didn't.  They feel much better now.

The zerk are fine, but are a little small for my grease gun.  I will get better fitting ones soon.  Thanks the the help everyone!
