This may be a stupid question but can anyone tell me if these are any good? So far what I have found threads to be 50/50 on them and a few home made disconnects that are suppose to work better or the same...

i ran them on my tj.  i liked them because they provided great on road handling.  you simply remove them for offroad use.  if you spend the majority of your time on road and do occasionaly offroading, i think these would be great for you.

i had the homemade ones for a while but eventually they started to rattle and i got sick of them so i bought the JKS quicker disconnects and have had no problems and the adjustable came in handy when i went from a 2" lift to a 3.5" lift. worth the money, in my opinion. but i drive a tj as well.

Im with Ian.
I have had the same set of JKS q diskos on my tj for for the last 8 years and 70k miles.  I grease them every 3k or less along with everything else. The have held up just fine, no rust on em or cracks or anything. My jeep is about 70% on road and they handle great!
