I think I had the same o2 sensor on my Mitsubishi. It is a two bolt type with a gasket instead of the traditional screw on type. They are a PAIN to find. I ended up welding a bung onto my exhaust to accept the traditional screw on Bosch o2 sensor.

On my other project car, I bought a Nippon Denso o2 sensor for like $35 on rockauto.com, worked out much better then my shitty welds.

Another thing, the ecu in these older imports do not take any information untill they are around 140 degreese. If it runs ok while it is cold I would think it is the o2 sensor.

Also, the coolant temperature sensor for the ecu goes a lot. Check the resistance vs the factory service manual.

This is what it could be
MAF/MAS
o2 Sensor
CTS
TPS
Bad Compresson
Vac Leak
Vacc Advance on dist
Dist is all gummed up
