silverado gasser.  Power gains for gas arent very much, are they worth it without a bunch of other mods?

It really all depends on the tune and who wrote it. Before the sc I ran 2 different tune, one from troyer and one from vmp. Both were an improvement over stock, both milage and performance. Troyers worked better on the highway and was a better et style tune, while vmps was better for dd comute type stuff. After the sc I added troyers tune and it makes a big difference, but there is much more that can be done with that now. I don't know who the chevy guys are out there to get specific tunes from, but many custom tunes are better than "canned" tunes. I have heard chevy is a d..k about warranty if there is/was a tune in the pcm and supposedly they can tell even if it has been removed. I have had good luck with the superchip stuff and I've always run an sct tuner with my 150.
