Looking to pic up some 2.5s soon and I don't know which brand best suits my needs. Rig is a back halved TJ and will probably only see 12-20 day trips per year.  I've heard of SAW, FOX, King and Ballistic.

Any help would be highly appreciated
Thanks

I have fox in the front, and saw in the back.  Are you looking to buy new or used?  I have not used my shocks on the trail yet, but the quality on both is very satisfactory.

I've been watching a set of 16" Fox on Pirate and I made the guy an offer the other day but he hasn't been on since the 7th.  New or in really good shape used is what I'm after. I got a quote from one of the guys at Poly via Pirate for Fox 16" w/ SS shafts @ $450ea shipped $1800 was a little more than I was looking to spend though for the amount of use they're going to get. It seems like a pretty good price though.

Never heard of radflo. I'll have to check them out too I guess

i have fox 2.5 in the rear and radflos upfront.  pleased with both of them.

radflo is a good company, i got mine form bob at baystate offroad (not sure if he is still into selling products or not anylonger) i will say that fox is a better product overall. this is based on having them apart and side by side. it is an obvious difference in quality. but again radflo is a good company and i would buy them again.

used airshocks are constantly on pirate, keep your eyes open and you can find them

i got mine off of pirate.  i got a good deal on them.  i had to replace a shaft and put in new seals and it wasn't that hard.

Stay away from radflo!! I really like how my coilovers work, however I had to replace one before I ever used them on the rig and they did not warranty it. They straight up lied to me and I got stuck purchasing another shock. I now have 2 good ones on the rig and one that has leaked and lost presure since day one. What a great company.....NOT!!!

I bought $860 worth of airshocks off of pirate for $560.  Slightly used, but still in good condition.  Worth saving $300 for me.

I have 2.0 Fox no problems with defects or malfunction I will say if you plan on doing more the 5 mph or your rig weights more then 3500Lbs dnot bother with 2.0's!  spend the extra money and get 2.5 you will not regret in the long run, I have 2.0's and regret not getting the 2.5's.  In all fairness my rig is in the 4300Lbs to 4600Lbs range so it might have a little to do with it.

Thanks for the info guys.  1st set of shocks I found fell through (sold them and forgot to remove post), but I did find (2) 16" Fox  2.5s and (2) 18" 2.5s for sale and they look to be in good shape. I'm thinking the 18s might be over kill though

Uh I have 16's and it took quite a bit of work to be able to use all that travel, 18's would be a tad much
