you will see a tremendous difference when you heat it up with oxy/acety and get that sucker HOT.  Alot of heat to that bottom part of the knuckle so that area expands around the threaded bolt will make a big difference. Also use a lot of leverage such as a 4 foot piece of pipe over your ratchet. Helps you feel the bolt either wanting to start spinning out or threatening to snap. If the latter, add more heat and try again.

Lots of heat and NO impact guns. Out of the hundreds of axle's ive taken apart I probally only broke a half dozen or so bolts.

I would not call your knuckle's unuseable, I mean the bolts can be drilled out or welded out and the lower caps just need heat to pop them out.
Run a Tap to clean up the trheads and they will be fine. I would not consider them done till there crakced, even then plated knuckles will last for years if done right.

I was able to remove the knuckle but the lower cap ended up damaging it to the point that i want to replace it for safety.

Can you post a pic of the dammaged area.

The lower caps on a rear steer axle I built gouged big marks in the ID of the knuckle, we sanded them down and several years later its holding fine. Other than the hole egging out I would use them.
