Ford motor.

I picked up a 78 Ford F-250 this week in very clean shape. I want to put a motor in it as it was missing the OEM 351. The guy before pulled it and wanted to install a 390. So the bell on the 435 trans is for a 390 style block. I also got a BB460 bell with the truck, so I would even consider a 460 motor.
Not looking to spend a ton of money or maybe I can trade a Dana 60 front axle for the right motor. If its a small block I would need the bell housing and prefer a Carb.

I think the 390 Ford is defferent than the 390 AMC?
Not really sure and really I was looking for a 302 or a 351.
