Looking for a front drive shaft.

Running the rear shaft from my K5 in the front of my YJ has caused some issues

Don't really care which vehicle it's from yj, tj, xj, honda civic. gonna have to lop off the yokes anyways.

Cheaper is good, free is great

I am gonna have to probably cut one yoke off, I have 1330 joint at the axle most 1/2 tons and uder I think are 1310.

when my axle articlates down, it is contacting the skid pretty bad, and that is what caused my t-case to crack (why it was spitting fluid last trip)

I would like a complete shaft, my shaft is I think 4" Dia and a stock YJ is 2.5" dia so I will probably have to either buy a conversion joint or new yoke. It's gonna have to be shorened anyways.

I can, but where it is contacting is pretty close to where it meets the frame so I don't want my cuts to effect the integrity of the skid, then I will have even more problems.

More and more I think about it, I might just go square. some 2.5 ID and 2.5 OD is probably gonna be cheaper.

think about this, if you measure across the square. the o.d  has 1/4" wall the 2.5" tubing it will be 4"

john just cut the skid, and weld some lateral support on the backside your welcome to my welder and i have some stock that would be usable. I'm free on weekends....and weeknights now that i'm on dayshift for a couple weeks.

building a driveshaft is way more tedious and time consuming, lets just hack stuff apart and lay some beads then wheel Cheers

regardless, I need a new drive shaft, I will try to snap some pics of mine, but it is just waiting to get torqued. there is a good 1/2 inch indent the entire circumfrance of the shaft. I could try to sleave it somehow i guess. we'll see.
