Looking for a gas tank skid for my 1998 TJ. I'm open to getting a stock replacement or aftermarket (e.g. Kilby, Warn, Skid Row, etc.). Either way, my current stock skid is rusted and almost gone...need something to keep the tank from falling out. Shocked

Rugged ridge makes a very good gas tank skid that replaces the original skid but is 3/16" thick.  I like them better than skid row because it replaces the factory skid not just cover it.  Believe it or not it is very good quality.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you currently own one of these?  I don't typically associate Rugged Ridge w/ high quality.  How's the powder coat holding up?  Looks like I can get one of these new on eBay for ~$242 (shipped)....that was the cheapest I found:

I've installed a few of these and they fit very good and the powder coat is as good as any other.  Yes, Omix-AdA stuff usually sucks and when one of these came into the shop I thought, ok here we go with this POS. But it turned out great.

I owned a kilby and beat it on a rig I trailered. So that's my vote.
