[/quote]

pinions a little high
(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n123/sneakyjoe9988/86%204runner/wide%20axle/108_0194.jpg)

temp cut and sleeved tierod
(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n123/sneakyjoe9988/86%204runner/wide%20axle/108_0195.jpg)

so made a "flat" belly pan yesturday,  the pan is flat but it hangs down 2in below the frame

started out making this crossmember it is .25 wall 2x2 and welded to the frame
(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n123/sneakyjoe9988/86%204runner/crossmember/105_0115.jpg)

then i made this crossmember to go over the driveshaft,  also .25 2x2
(http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n123/sneakyjoe9988/86%204runner/crossmember/105_0125.jpg)

it is still possible to get the tcase and tranny out with these welded in its just going to be a [censored]

next i connected the two crossmembers with some 2in angle and made a little sub stucture that bolts in to support the pan

and i will be using this as the pan

3/8 thick peice of poly (basicly a cutting board)

linked the rear

got sick of the [censored] up cage in the front and the mashed panels so i pulled a chad and got the sawsall

Did you have to have custom axle shafts made for the widened front?

havent been on in a while so i figured i would post a update

got the front all finished and installed

took it wheeling at gretchens early this summer and broke the output shaft off the tcase and broke a stub at the same time.

put a new case in it installed a new set of spicer joints, and redid the front of my cage so it didnt rub anymore.  Then towed it to all wheels offroad in lewiston maine and sheared it off again in about 20min.

so its been sitting in my yard since, i moved it into the garage today, should be picking up another new case this week as well as ordering a set of 5.38s for the axles.  Im hoping that takes some stress of the output shaft.

now i just need time and motivation to pull the case out again.
