Title: ford 9"
Post by: Mitch on July 03, 2009, 07:06:55 AM
Typical 9" Case
Standard C7AW-E case
Standard D2SW-C pinion support
While its not 100% sure, the outer piece of the axles appear to be 31 spline, could be 28 still - unlikely I guess.

And here are some numbers I pulled off the case:

It appears that the "IL" I stated earlier is probably a "71" which probably makes it from the year 1971 ??
Here are more sets of numbers I saw:

98 or 86 stamped kinda on the side of the case
3K16 (has . . under the 3)
O2SW-C or D2SW-C
and DIF in raised letters near the "71" on the flat part that bolts to the axle.
and there is also a Sideways W which looks like it is eating to Cc's that are inside each other.

$150.00

located in Sterling, MA - no delivery.
