Title: New Detroit EZ locker for $100
Post by: Posimoto on August 19, 2009, 02:10:21 PM
There is no warranty because their discontinued. Still not a bad deal for someone looking for a lunchbox locker.

Nice find. I might have to scoop one up for my 8.8. Any opinions on these as far as how they work on the trail and in the snow? How they manner on the street and noise doesnt bother me much, theres enough noise and shake now I wouldnt feel it anywho.

Most likely.  Just be sure that you're ordering for the right axle.  They might not accept returns.   :)

If you're not in 4x4, you will not know it is in there.

I wouldnt put it in the front if you drive in snow.

I drive in snow with a lockright in the front.  granted with the locker in the rear I almost never use 4wd and by almost never i mean only when im starting off on a hill and dont have enough traction with just the rear tires or when im pulling my neighbors vehicles up my street to their houses.

Just a heads up. Researched a little before I ordered mine this week. Will not be ordering one after reading this.

Id rather spend an extra 150 on something thats going to last. With the amount of negitive feedback the ez lockers getting on top of them not continuing to warranty it anymore, it just seems like the better move. My jeep is my DD and would be seeing a lot of wear and tear between trail rides.
