yes thats right folks finally an rtv that works!
Permatex's "the right stuff"
this is not a new product and i am not just discovering it so I am speaking from years of pleasurable experiances with the stuff.
it really is the right stuff when it comes to rtv, if you are ever worried about something sealing than this is the stuff. if you plan to take something apart alot than maybe not because it holds so well. It is the only RTV I have ever used succesfully on oily surfaces. it seems to not even care if there is oil present it will still set no problem.
I have used it as, a headgasket in Johns old omni. it worked
i have temporarily fixed gas tanks with it
patched rubber roofs(works better than rubber roof patch)
sealed cracks in driveways.
I have made cam caps out of the stuff
plugged a hole in my fathers intake which went right into the water jacket and its still holding a year later.
best diff cover gasket i've ever used.
the list goes on.
if you dont have some of this stuff in your garage GET SOME
if you can find the caulking tube of it buy that you get more for your money.
When your done using it make sure you whip a little bit of it over the cap so it doesn't set inside the neck of the tube.
enjoy
