Camp & Wheel?
« on: August 13, 2015, 01:06:37 AM »
Hi Guys,

New to the forum. I've been a Jeep owner for a couple years, Xj & TJ, but just started getting setup to do some light trail riding. Now I just need to figure out where to go, legally of course. Just looking for somewhere to tread lightly and do some camping. Any good spots in the north east. I'm based in the Boston area but would drive a ways for a good weekend of camping and wheeling.

Current setup is a TJ with 33's, 2.5" lift, sway bar disconnects, winch, recovery bumpers front and rear. NO LOCKERS.

Thanks,
-Alex

Only one trail in the North East of massachusetts and that is land that is under agreement with Mass mudders, so you would have to join that club to use the land.

There is other properties that we use, we do not just give out the locations of the land to people since most, if not all, have been aquired through leasing agreements and are private land that we are given permission to use.

The only "public" trail maintained by a state that I can think of is Jerico Mountain in Berlin NH.

Thanks for the reply!

I realised after I posted that this was the forum attached to a club and probably not the place for this question :/ But I appreciate the response.

I'll look into Jericho. It's also not to far from Rocky Mountain Terrain Park which I herd about recently and both closer than Rausch Creek Off Road Park in PA.

I was very interested in joining a club but it looks like I'll be moving out of the area in the next couple months for work, so it's probably not in the cards just yet...

There is also a park called mettowee in upstate NY, i've never actually wheeled there but i did go one day and look from the front gate when it was closed.   I believe its a lot of mud bogs plus a bunch of moderate trails.
