Its all taken care up, the door still opens and shuts fine, i beat the crap out of it witha dea blow so its not as caved in, AND it has a pimp plexi-glass window type thing, thats actualy sealed with silicon on three out of four sides!   Its like new  8)
Used to own a jeep...

does that count?

I never noticed that he trimmed that far.  did you weld the sheet metal back together?

I trimmed to 1/4" of the door, then traced that line around to the back to make it symetrical.  I had to cut the wheel well in half and move it back 4".  The floor had to be cut to do so.  Then I welded everything back and covered it with rtv for good measure.  Yesterday I sanded the Rtv off the body , painted and put a strip of Protckto Trim around the well to match the front.  Here's a bit of the passenger side   http://mrmontez2000.proboards70.com/index.cgi?board=create&action=display&thread=1166880000
