SEAFOAM Motor Treatment
« on: February 13, 2007, 10:41:07 PM »
I have not used this yet, but for those who have. Did you like it? I heard it cleans everything out of your system. For those who dont know what seafoam is you can check it out here; http://www.seafoamsales.com/motorTuneUp.htm

My work sells it and I wanted to try it out. From what I have heard your truck/jeep/car will smoke like a bastard afterwards burning the crap out. Let me know your reviews good or bad. Thanks!

i did it cause i was bored, made a pretty cool smoke show, that was about it....fwiw i later removed the intake manifold when doing my headers, and they were black and gunked up as could be, so i am not sure that it did much at all

its worth the three bucks if your bored and feel like making smoke come out of your jeep i guess

I did it today while at work. I was a little upset at the lack of smoke. I wanted to see it pouring out smoke. The idle is much better than before, thats all I really noticed. But I was paying more attention to not having windshield wipers today when driving in the rain than how the motor was performig.

how many miles does your engine have?  i am worried about doing it on a high-mileage motor.

If you got a Carburator just run it at hi idle and slowly pour water into Carb..dont let engine stall..itll remove all the carbon buildup in your engine. Old timers fix :)

twisty i did it to mine when it had 175k, no differnce, positive or negative, save your money

i have heard, but have no personal experience, that if you put it in your engine oil with a high mileage motor you run the risk of developing leaks, putting it down the intake shouldnt be an issue

yeah, i hadnt really planned on it.  my jeep has 196k on it, and still purrs at 800rpm idling with no little burps for vibrations.
