The TJ latch is for a loop style, YJ's have a pin instead. I believe the latch mechanism on a TJ door is not wide enough to get around the pin. I think the upper part of the door has a different radius in the corners too.

What's up Andy!  I run YJ soft half doors in the summer on my TJ but I just had to add a few beads of weld to the end of the arm on the door latch to reach inside the loop deep enough so they catch and don't bounce free....what can I say, they were freebies... ;D

get yj doors  ??? they are usually cheaper .  They definately aren't interchangeable without modifications.  CJ doors will fit your YJ though
