evolution of my jeep
« on: October 25, 2008, 04:32:57 PM »
First I'd like to thank Mikeswrangler for helping me out install this lift, using his driveway, and using his tools.  Without his help I'd still be working on it.

My Jeep needed to adapt... so from a 3.5" RE Super Ride lift to a 5.5" RE Extreme Duty lift...

Before

Installing lift
Sunday...7am - 9pm
Monday...6pm-11pm

Everything went fairly smoothly, except for the rear shocks. We had to sawzall out an old nut that had rusted to a bolt in the mount. And that was tough because of the odd angle and the confined space.

Saturday...AR Wheels and 33" SSR TSLS  :tsl:
A little rubbing on the flares, so I'm going to have to do a little trimming.

Thanks Jerry for grabbing the wheels and tires and holding on to them for me...and for letting try them out on your rock...

That looks sweet Dan.  Good job with the lift.  Tires are sharp too.  Beats the last set!! ;D  Hope these ones hold air on the trail better than the last set   :D :D ;)

That's the old tire carrier... didn't work out too well...

here's the new one from Nates4x4.

here is the front bumper

I just need to get the grade8 hardware and then the time to install them.  With the weather starting to get chilly I gotta do it sooner than later.
