I have been trying to by a CJ7 thats been sitting in the lady's back yard for well over 8 years now.  Her and her husband bought it for their son as a welcome back home present for their son in the military as he always wanted a CJ and unfortunately they were never able to give it to him as he tragically died before his safe return.  It is Black and stainless all over.  They did a really nice job but the weeds have grown up and over it and you would need a chainsaw to get it out as their is small trees growing all around it too.  Real shame!!

I stopped in there driveway when I saw the gentleman out there mowing his lawn about 6 years back when you could see that it was going to just sit there, and asked him about it and if they would sell it.  He said he would and took my number but she came running out all crying and screaming and said she'd die before she sold it.  It was her sons and she was keeping it for him.     I really feel for that woman and respected her wishes, appologised for their loss and vacated the property quickly as not to upset her any further.  I could hear here chewing hubby out as I drove away.

Shame to see its still there and rotting away.

sorry for the long story but it touched my heart Wink

I wouldn’t look at that black CJ going back to the earth as a sad thing, more of a monument if you will.

Just wish I didn't have to watch it rot.  I drive by it in Paxton Every Day.  I do look at it with a different light though.  I would love to have it restored for her just to keep it as it were when she did it for him.

Should contact Chip Foose and have them put it on their show there.
