1962 cub cadet lawn tractor.

This is my grandfather's 1962 cub cadet lawn tractor.  Everything BUT the generator is original (tires are original and the rears are mint).  I guess the wheel weights aren't original too but he has the original ones. (a cousin of mine has them and if he doesn't return them soon i bet my grandfather will leave him nothing in his will)

he takes it to tractor shows. i think there is one in dublin, nh during our bbq.

thought some of you here would enjoy seeing it.

Wow, that's in great original shape! I like the deck too, and the metal front skids. I'm sure it was put away after every use.

Reminds me of this little gem I picked up earlier this season.
Not sure what year it would have been made or what motor was original to it but I've been trying to find little hit and miss motor to put on it.

Had do do some emergency welding on the seat for my grandfather.  he uses it to plow snow in his driveway.  never knew retired 85 year olds could be in such a rush.  it wasn't that the seat was broken into 2, but rather the crack in the seat made a small noise that bothered him.  its fixed now.

Nice fix, I'm hoping he has a cushion for that seat, thinking he can get away with it in the spring/summer.

he has something.  his model didn't come with one but most did
