I can't see the SN # on the tag but the tail gate looks in the 3900's SN #

School. me a ss # in the 3900 is a good thing ? I know nothing about these things other than I wanted one with a tail gate and that the seller said it was a 1947 civilian model

No special meaning for the sn except to help pin point the year. Your trailer should hold at least 1000 lbs and came stock with 6.00 x 16 tires. What you have is a BT3-C civilian trailer the predecessor was the military BT3.
