TreadWright retread tires

I have had these treadwright tires for a few months and 2 runs with no problems and great off road performance. On road performance is o.k. but I do not have anything to compare it too (first Jeep and first set of off road tires)  road noise is loud but nothing you can't get use too...

For $95 a piece for 17" rims this was a steal and only downside I see now is they do not have anything between a 32"-37". Shipping was door to door and 5 tires w/shipping was less then $700.

 315/70R17 is about 34.7" so there is something between 32" and 37"

Are these on AT's? Can you still read the date code from the original tire? FYI the date code is the 4 digit number after the DOT stamping on the tire size. First two digits is the week (out of 52) and the last two digits are the year.

my buddy runs treadwrights on 4 differnet work trucks (all different sizes) and his dd truck, which he uses for work. he loves them, the price is great and he has had no issues in the years he has run them. i was going to buy a set when i got my last set but got a great deal on some other tires.

if you read about the process that treadwright uses it isn't really a "recap" like they use on big trucks (tractor trailers) there is alot of info on pirate about them. guys love them over there as well.

for the price i think its a good deal

the 37" tires only come in a 16.5 rim size and so that just plain stinks!

I am glad to hear all the positive information and feedback on these, I was planning on purchasing these tires for my pick up.
I got lucky and got a great deal on some H2 takeoff tires last week, but don't think I will get more than 6 months out of them so I find it encouraging to read this.  I will purchase with confidence.

thinking of running treadwright 31" warden. very similar to a BFG all terrain, with the kedge grip. any updates or thoughts?

so far my rims are not going to outlast these tires...biggest issue so far is explaining Mass law to the inspection guy concerning retreads on passanger cars and once he called RMV because he didn't believe me I got a sticker. These are my first off road tires so I have nothing to really compare them too but no issues on the trail or with grip. For the cost and the shell you get being BFG (with kevlar I think) you an't go wrong

yeah the sidewalls are a little torn up from rocks so he though it was dryrot and they won't pass so I explained they are for off-road use mostly and that isn't dryrot but the retread on top of the BFG casing. He was fresh out of the inspection class and didn't know that retread are legal on passanger cars in MA. I did tons of research before buying them and had alot of issues getting them installed. These tires are not the same ones you see on the highway but alot of people think they are all the same. Treadwright stamps them once they pass DOT test for passanger vehicle tires and they are made to order. I love them and for the cost per tire wasn't to concerned about beating them up on the trail...now that being said on a cold day they do drop in pressure 3-4 lbs which can be annoying when you have a pressure monitor beeping at you till you add some air or drive for a few miles lol

i think most off road tires lose some pressure when they sit?? they only drop a few lbs. but its ahrd to notice
