4.0 zj , pdc/alternator fusible link?

Trying to find out what gauge the fusible link is that is on the wire that goes from the altenator to the pdc under the hood.  Mine blew some years ago when someone tried to help me out by putting a battery in the jeep.  But i didnt really drive the jeep after that and its been so long that I don't have the original one to look at.

I think its roughly 8 gauge wire

 I heard youre supposed to use a fusible link 2 sizes smaller then the wire itself.  So you think the link is a 6 gauge, or the black line that runs from the alternator to the pdc?

I was referring to the actual wire, so yea the link is probably 10 gauge

Here's what I have right now, like I said It was a long time ago, I don't remember why I used this 80a "fusible link" maybe cause its all I could find.

I've seen a setup where someone had one of these mounted in place of what I have, but im lost.

All I know is sometimes the jeep won't start, once its running its fine, but the poor connection inhave fails and seems like its not sending enough juice to the starter.
